Readers meet Owl, who is sometimes a bit silly, but always welcoming and friendly.

Different than Frog and Toad adventures… Owl has a timid and slightly more insecure personality than the amphibians Lobel writes about, but still charming, silly, unique, and delightful. My toddler has since started to say, “Look Mom! The moon is following us!” And shivers adorably when he sees BUMPS under his blanket at bed time. We are grateful for these silly tales.

Adorable and great for brand new readers. There’s a real art to writing stories with a limited palette of words that don’t become boring and repetitive. And we decided Owl is probably friends with Frog and Toad, even though Owl is a goofball.
