This was a really cute start to the series! I will warn you, this has a much slower pace than most romance manga and we're not dealing with anything crazy or convoluted. Just two 14 year olds in love. The only drama/conflict is that their classmates think they're "mature" and thus they can't make their relationship public. Which, I have to say, I really enjoy. I don't think every romance has to have a gripping story filled to the bring with drama and theatrics. Just give me two teenagers trying to navigate middle school and a relationship and I'll be content.

This was a good introductory volume to the series and I am curious to read more. If you're looking for a relaxing, endearing, and sweet romance, I recommend trying this out.

I found this at my library. It was a bit slow and hard to follow at times. There are a few issues I had, but overall it was a cute little contemporary.

مو طبيعي كيف تحاول الكاتبة تطبّع البيدوفيليا في الشخصيات الثانوية وحتى تصنع لهم قصص جانبية خاصة بقصة حب قاصر/بالغ

Summary:
Kanata Tanaka and Kazuki Yoshikawa are middle-schoolers who are revered by the other students for their air of maturity, good grades, and so forth. They are, in fact, unbeknownst to most folks, childhood friends who hide their friendship due to the discomfort of the attention they get separately from others. This gets complicated because they eventually fall for each other and start going out.

It's a rather quick and fun read. There isn't much drama other than the one caused by Nihito. The manga mainly focuses on the main couple, but we get glimpses of other characters. I wasn't really sure what was happening between Nihito and the music teacher. It seemed as if he either hates teachers or he just hates singing. Perhaps this will be addressed in volume two. Overall, I give it a 3 star rating.

This is an odd creature, a slice-of-life school romance manga. The main characters were friends for a long time but nobody else seems to realize it and they seem to pair up by default. Nothing much happens. The chapters are short and the continuity between them is minimal.

At the end of the book there's a scene where the boy gets hunted down by the hot music teacher and forced to sing for his grade. It comes off as creepy and out of place.

I wasn’t too sure what to expect when I started this—mainly how mature it would be, or how cute it would be. I was sure it would be good, though, and it was.

Kanata and Kazuki are mature for their age, and they put on a more conservative and serene air when at school with their classmates. When together, they’re themselves, more goofy and relaxed. And slowly falling for each other.

This makes it increasingly hard for them to figure out how to act, having the two worlds intersect, mixing things up in their heads.

There’s a lot of cute scenes here, how they don’t react in class, but then comment later together. Like when Kanata’s hair is done during class, and later Kazuki gives her a surprise kiss on the neck before fleeing. Or during art class, when Kazuki volunteers Kanata to model so she won’t have to draw, only to blush as he realizes he has to then draw and stare at her.

We also meet a classmate who catches them, and teases and blankmails Kazuki, only for the tables to later be turned on him.

This is a very cute, pretty vanilla volume. It was charming and subtle and thoughtful. I really enjoyed it, and look forward to the next one.

I LOVE THIS! A perfect blend of cute and cheesy. Never came off too forced or cliche. A super fluffy read that I cannot stop thinking about!

This was the epitome of just ok for me. I finished reading this and instantly felt like I missed something. I flipped through to make sure I hadn't skipped something. Maybe I'm not used to manga but this felt like it had little to no continuity or plot and if this was supposed to be "slice of life" manga then the story was very boring. I don't think I was the intended audience for this so while I didn't hate it and found the story compelling enough to finish reading it, I didn't like it much. And honestly, a week and a half later, I couldn't tell you much of what happens so that's not a great sign.
