"I'd lost sight of anything other than success. Everything else just faded away."
Oh my god, Marcus and Maria are finally back! It makes me feel as if the series is complete again, I missed them so much. This was another wonderful volume that ended up preparing us for what's coming next volume which I already know is going to be absolutely crazy and full of action.

This was a solid book. We get a great view into Saya’s formative years, the fights were great, and the new class finally got some good character development. The art is solid throughout as it has been in every volume. Remender’s dialog really sealed this as my favorite book.
There’s a long conversation about the corporatization of music and youth culture that mirrors exact conversations I had when I was a punk in high school. Conversations dip into racism, identity politics, the history of colonialism, and division based on identity. It gets deep while remaining snappy and believable.
It felt like it was back to form, and I can’t wait to see the rest of this year’s arc plays out.
