This is a very hot exciting read that will have you hooked from the very first page tell the ending. I loved this hot alpha male that shows the tough things that takes for the love throughout this story.

How I'd rate:
• Overall - 5/5
• Plot - 4/5
• Characters 5/5
• Spice - 4/5
What I loved:
• Second chance romance
• Character growth
• Spice
• Found family
• Grumpy/sunshine
Vicious is a great LJ Shen book and she really brings the spice and the angst in this one. Emilia was a quiet, unique and genuinely kind person that the angry, bitter and hateful "Vicious" (Baron) wanted but never believed he deserved. As teenagers neither could articulate the feelings they had for one another but luckily they get a chance to try again as adults. I was cheering for them on the sidelines and rooting for them to open their eyes to what was right in front of them and to use their words, but of course that would be too simple. However, they had learned from the past and didn't let challenges tear them apart this time and they fought for each other and the future they wanted but were afraid to hope for. Their fight for happiness was filled with some very spicy bedroom moments as well as evidence of significant character growth for Vicious. That growth made their HEA a possibility and it was worth it. I look forward to seeing their story continue in book 2 even if it's on the sidelines of the other characters stories.
Who this book is for: This book is for anyone who wants a spicy read and loves those red flag men in real life and wants a book where red flags are green flags.

Normally when I read a second chance romance (even if it’s a bully romance) I am laughing, crying and usual fall in love with the MMC pretty early on but I was shaking my head through this whole book. The ending was nice but damn Vicious was such an idiot. And Emilia girl, wtf. Also Hotholes, bruh the fuck. I cringed so hard when I read that the first time and they continue to call themselves that throughout the book, so even 10 years later they still call themselves hotholes..

Not what I was expecting but was good nonetheless.
I found this book on TikTok and they made it seem like this was a super dark and scary bully romance. I’m not sure if I’m just desensitized at this point but it wasn’t that dark to me. It definitely is a bully romance though through and through.
Some parts were super cringy but you get used to it after a while. I wasn’t aware that this was a series before I picked it up. Not 100% sure I’ll continue it. The side characters haven’t pulled me in enough.
