FYI: Persian pickle refers to an old time quilter's term for a paisley pattern. The first person story takes place in a small dust bowl community with a focus on the long time members of a quilting club. There is a bit of a murder mystery and some historic attitudes and slang.

3.5 stars. I wasn’t expecting this book to be more of a mystery but I am not mad. It felt like a very well balanced mix of charm, nostalgia, and suspense. I want to b long to a quilting club like the Persian pickle club one day :’)

Great book! The ending has a twist that you didn't see coming.

Read it for book club. Not my cup of tea. Somewhat interesting, with a twist at the end which was also horrifying and disturbing as it was treated so lightly...but it was also satisfying.

My favourite was the itinerant family. Loved them.

Anyway. A fine book for some, but I found it boring and speed-read/skipped to the end and was glad to be done with it.

Cute quick read. Love the time period but the character development could have been better. Fewer characters and a deeper dive into their friendships and history would have been nice.

A good read. A tad predictable, but great characters, well-written, and a perfect ending.

A fast-paced, fascinating read.

I love Sandra Dallas books! Easy reading and always a good story!

Tragic writing style that was not well edited. If it wasn't so short & about Kansas it would have been a DNF.
