This story was not what I was expecting, but overall, a good read. This was a short story and second installation of the Mead Mishaps series. Cin and Fallon were only mentioned in the story; they don't make an appearance. The story is told from Ruby's perspective, and how she ends up with Lucca, a fox demon.

The story starts with Ruby's father, a blacksmith. His business is cursed after stealing ore from a fox demon's territory (Lucca). Now, all the blades and swords are talking, horny perverts, and they're losing business fast. It's definitely amusing. Ruby takes Alexis with her (a talking sword), plus cakes/bad wine, to apologize to the fox demon and ask for him to lift the curse.

Being a short story, the romance moves FAST. The first time they meet, they have oral sex. Lucca and Ruby are sexually attracted to each other from the start, and they fall in love after. It's very different from Cin/Fallon. Fallon knew Cin was his soulmate from the start, and Cin gradually fell in love. Here, they're having casual sex and develop feeling for each other by the end.

I prefer Fall/Cin over Ruby/Lucca's romance. The former was just more emotionally fulfilling for me. I would say that my favorite parts in this story were in the end during the Winter Festival where we got to immerse ourselves in the Demon World and met the Dragon King and his mate. They were funny and great.

This story was fun to read, but I wished it wasn't so LUSTFUL and more romantic instead. However, people who prefer that will love this book.

Very quick short story. Fun for sure, light on plot and character development, but amusing nonetheless.
