Fenton Hardy is busy with a case of a suspected leak in the Pentagon, so he's away when a man comes calling asking help with his weathervane. The boys are all in.

Americana was beginning to hit its crazy high-priced peak in the 1980s, but this was all a bit much. Low-flying helicoptors with grappling hooks are not going to go unnoticed in the Pennsylvania countryside. Also, I doubt the group of men stealing and selling dozens upon dozens of antique weathervanes also know how to fence top-secret government submarine plans.

What a hoot.

Read when I was 9 or 10, and absolutely loved it.

The "blue cover" Hardy Boys series definitely started going downhill from here. This was one of the few I really didn't enjoy of all the Hardy Boys books I've read.
