Convincingly argues that the Axis never really had a chance. I learned a lot despite having already read a lot about WW2 (developing the B-29 cost more than the Manhattan project?!)

Errors, logistics, and infrastructure are more important than blood, sweat, and tears; trucks are better than heroism.

Probably the best WWII book I've ever read--organized topically, rather than chronologically, which seemed weird at first but works.

This books is a DEEP dive into WW2. I can't say it was the most entertaining book at all times, but it's definitely the most heavily-researched one I've ever read.

Did not care for this. It seemed repetitive and the facts and observations didn't seem very insightful or novel. Gave up after about 75 pages.
