I randomly read #12 in the Harry Bosch series, even though I don't think I've read any of the others. If i have, i don't remember doing it. Bosch is a police detective in the open unsolved cold cases unit and he's been thinking over this one case since he first became a detective 20 or 30 years ago or something. Now he has a new lead to possibly solve it. It's not a bad story, but i couldn't get into it too well. I wasn't into the characters. Maybe it would be different if i'd been reading all along, but i don't think so. i understood everything, i wasn't lost... It was a good solid book and the end was a bit sad. if i accidentally come across another book from this series, i'll read it again and probably like it ok, but i'm not going out of my way to do so.

Another intricate and well-written detective story about the hard-boiled, never-say-die Harry Bosch. My only issue is that this is the second serial killer he has apprehended with Rachel Walling in three books -- and I was just praising Connelly for the Bosch series having some semblance of reality after reading the last book.

One of the better books in the series. I like that in the end the conspirators ended up not being the obvious choice.

A slow start but once it got going I did not want to put it down.

Another great one from the Harry Bosch collection. If you like this author (or mystery/suspense genre), this is a great read (and the audiobook read by Len Cariou is just awesome.)
