'We can do hard things." Peter Ash has a way of stumbling into situations and doing hard things. This seventh entry in the Peter Ash series by Nick Petrie is filled with people making bad choices and having even worst options.
How did a young pregnant woman wind up alone on the side of a gravel road? What is she running from and who? When Peter Ash offers her a lift, he has no idea that his life is about to explode right after than moment of kindness. Now he's got to figure out how to stay alive and keep his promise to protect the pregnant woman who just wants to 'get through to get out'.
The Runaway is a dynamic joyride of action that grabs you from the first page to the last. Whether it's your first Peter Ash novel or just the latest, this series will keep you enthralled with strong characters great dialogue, and captivating storytelling.

This is one of the best books in this series about Peter Ash. The Runaway by Nick Petrie has all the things that made me fall for this series when I found them a couple of years ago. Well written, hard to put down and a storyline like not many others. This is a really dark story and I didn't know how it would turn out. Full of suspense and action. I must thank @this_is_edelweiss and @penguinrandomhouse for giving me this advance copy and @_nickpetrie_ for writing this stuff. Great work.

Well... Shame on me for not knowing this was the latest in a character series. The good news is that it can stand alone without too much background information needed. It was good and I plan on reading the first one to learn more abour Peter Ash.

Nick Petrie hasn’t disappointed yet. Peter, Captain Rescue man strikes again by rescuing a pregnant woman. Peter gets far more than he bargained for - as usual. The Runaway sucked me in from the beginning and the backstory on the pregnant woman kept me interested.
This is one of the longer books but kept my attention throughout.
4.4 rounded down.

This was pretty gripping. Ash finds himself helping a young pregnant woman and getting into more than he expected. The woman has quite a back story.
