Was a great final in learning more of Jade's abilities and more on her in general. Most of the book deals with her learning and recouping from the last fight with Samir. She definitely grows as a person in this book. We also get to meet another character who could became another addition to the group.
Overall, great story and book. Highly recommend for those who have liked the story this far.

Annie Bellet tells a really fun story of coming to terms with loss and betrayal and making yourself into something better than you could have been.

Jade has to learn from her past mistakes in order to get revenge once and for all against her evil ex boyfriend who's followed in her wake for years wrecking most of what she's held dear.

I enjoy this series of novella length books quite a lot and always look forward to the next one.

I am tickled that this one apparently closed the Samir arc, although I have to say that the final show down with him wasn't as spectacular as I was expecting it to be based on the creativity of other crisis in this series. Still, it closed things up nicely and left a lot of room for it to move forward.

I'm still excited for the future of the series, though, and can't wait to see where Bellet takes it.

I am so hooked on this series. This book concludes the story-arc that began with Justice Calling. It's been a hell of a ride.

Annie Bellet is definitely now one of my go to authors of Urban Fantasy - right up there with Seanan McGuire, Jim Butcher or Kim Harrison.

Now If you'll excuse me I need to get back to book 8...

The showdown was a tad short for my tastes, as was this whole book, but it flowed along as great as the rest and was quite enjoyable. I flew through it. Really fun series.
