An interesting memoir! I feel compassion for Tara Westover and I'm also incredibly happy for her. I hope she's living a fun relaxing life now. I definitely don't know because I haven't looked it up and I don't know if I ever will. This glimpse into her life and where she was at by the end feels like enough.

The way Tara is able to capture how trama and love and cause such conflicting emotions in oneself is so beautiful and sad. What an amazing story that her writing brings to life on the page.

Very well written. Hard to read at some parts due to the abuse. I would recommend going into this book without prior knowledge.

I knew that she eventually left, which I feel ruined the anticipation. I did find it shocking that she wasn’t the first in her family to leave. Definitely changed the story, as it shaped her experience.
