This is exactly what I am currently needing in a book. A fantasy story about doors to/from different worlds with a mystery element. The dialogue isn’t super complicated and the character development is engaging for a novella series. I’ll be continuing with the series. Also - extra points for an asexual character!

I really enjoyed the premise of this book but I felt that the short form really hindered the execution

so almost a 5 star. the amount of whimsy and story building in such a short book is incredible but i wanted more i loved this world and the idea and seanan writing can’t wait to jump back in.
