Kirsten Modglin is a queen of the twist. Her books are always a wild roller coaster ride that leave me with whiplash. This book was no exception! As a follow up to The Arrangment, which should be read first, The Amendment plumbs the darkest depth of the human psyche. I’d recommend to anyone who has read The Arrangement and wants to take a deep dive into some twisted minds.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

I supposed when the first book was mediocre I shouldn’t expect too much from the second & that was essentially what happened here. It was fine. Not that memorable, overall mostly unlikeable characters, a rushed through plot & large gaps in the timeline but hey - it wasn’t bad, per se. It was fine.

This is the sequel to *The Arrangement*, continuing the dark and twisted story of Ainsley and Peter Greenburg. After the shocking revelations in the first book, their marriage is in turmoil, and they attempt to rebuild their relationship through couple’s counseling. However, new secrets emerge, and their past refuses to stay buried.

As they navigate their fractured trust, they find themselves entangled in even more dangerous situations. Ainsley, who once sought stability, now embraces the darkness alongside Peter, leading to chilling consequences. Their family is on the brink of collapse, and a lurking threat from their past threatens to expose everything they’ve fought to keep hidden.

This one was not as shocking as The arrangement, but this one also had a cliffhanger ending. Loved it.
