A simple and yet compelling story, this classic seems like it would be an excellent read for a young reader--and entertaining for adults, as well. I'm glad I took some time to read this book that I missed as a kid.

Sweet and fun and pretty literary for a kids’ book. It did seem to me that Mrs. Frisby’s story was kind of just a framing device to tell the story of the rats. It was interesting to see ethical questions in science explored or at least brought up in a book like this.
Read aloud to the kids. It was my first time reading the book and I LOVED it! Lives up to the hype. I especially appreciated the introduction it gave my kids to “unknowns” in the ending. No spoilers here, but it’s delightful discussing what we think happened and what could be!
