This was an amazing series. It’s a love letter to being human and making the world a better place. People make mistakes often and bad things happen but, at the end of the day, working to make things better with the people you care about is what matters. Holding out hope for a brighter future no matter what is important.

It took me longer to read this third book of the series due to my anxiety about how it would end. lol I was so worried!!
This was so beautifully written. It was heart breaking, emotional, powerful, hopeful, courageous and so much more.
I’m not sure I’ve ever read a book where I didn’t think anything could have been made better. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

Hmmmmm. I think it was mostly the imperfect relationships, based on survival, neither unnecessarily gentle nor hardened, that got me for the first two books. With many of the interesting ones concluded, I was left with the worldbuilding (focused on third installment duties like pulling back the curtains and filling in gaps- which is usually unnecessary for me), the individual characters (some irritating at this point), and the conclusion (too anthropocentric 4 me). This just did not hit. Or maybe quarantine has changed me ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
