An enjoyable, quick book. The setting felt deliberate and the characters fit into the setting well.

All of the characters were likeable and you rooted for them. Wylie felt a touch inconsistent in the way he was written but Boone was very steadfast and consistent throughout (he liked to cook, everything came back to cooking with him).

I wish the book had been a touch longer so it had more opportunities to slowly build their relationship up but it did well in the page count it had.

⭐️ARC Review⭐️ (4.5⭐️)
This felt like a warm hug in a book. Rainbow Ranch is such a welcoming home to all you stumble upon this wonderful family and their land. Boone is a ray of sunshine and cinnamon rolls that would make any hardened rancher crack a smile immediately. Wylie (said hardened rancher) is a nomad moving from place to place, never settling down by keeping everyone at arms length. But the sweat as tea Boone makes him want to break down his walls and have a few cuddles. A story about finding your path, choosing your own happiness and finding a family that accepts you it couldn't be a more perfect kick-off to this wonderful series!

I knew this was a low conflict type of romance, but I think I still wanted some more narrative tension. Not from them as a couple, but this was more of a slice of life than a complete story for me.

Sweet, fast read.
Very likeable characters, both human and horses

This novella was so stinking cute. I love a good small town romance, but when the cowboys get to speak boy oh boy am I hooked for life. The dynamic between these two despite both being cowboys was so different and I liked reading about it. Because it reminded me of inside and outside kids lol. You always have that group of kids that wanna be outside in the sun, rolling in the dir, getting messy, and just all over the place. Then you have the kids that just wanna sit in the house, reading a book in the ac, no one bothering them, or in the kitchen and these two give that very much. Reading this you definitely feel the nurturing aspect from Boone and you see how much he cares for everyone on the Ranch and it just made me smile from ear to ear each chapter. I also love how welcoming the entire Ranch is to anyone that steps foot into the area. You will never not feel at home. If you are looking for a quick cute read. This is it!

Stirring Spurs was everything I wanted it to be and more.

I was slumping really bad when I picked this up, that’s just how much faith I had in it to take me out of it. It took me time to read, not because I didn’t want to pick it up, but rather, I didn’t want to put the characters down to never be experienced again.

This is a short little novella, but I had to savour every single chapter.

Wylie’s journey is cute but also has enough substance to it to keep me cheering them on. Boone’s entire character was chefs kiss. I love these characters together. Their chemistry is there from start to finish.

The spice is spicing. I can always rely on M.A. Wardell to give me some of the best and most realistic spice. No matter what he’s writing. I’ll read it every time.
