Stirring Spurs

Stirring Spurs is cowboy romance at its finest. A broody cowboy, a sweet ranch cook, an adorable mini horse, and all the small-town swoon you could want. Boone and Wylie have instant chemistry, and the caretaking, spice, and vulnerability between them is everything.

It’s heartfelt, sexy, and full of found family feels. A perfect start to the Rainbow Ranch series,
I’m already obsessed and can’t wait for more!

Very sweet cowboy romance. A little insta-love, a little pining. I liked the development of Wiley's relationship with Noodle, and I like how this big gay family cares about each other. All the food made me hungry. The tension for Wiley felt a little weak, and some of the sibling conversations seemed forced/unnecessary. The steamy scenes were in fact steamy, and had me squirming. I'm excited about Beau's story 👀👀👀

Too Cute! Unbelievably sweet and loaded with all the fuzzy feelings of a good romance, and short enough that  it leaves out much of the drama and 3rd act breakup.

Not so sweet that it doesn't bring the heat too. From gental kisses to getting hot and heavy in the back of an pick up truck, every scene brings something new.

I absolutely loved everything about this adorable novella. As usual, this author writes with the perfect blend of sweet and spice to keep me smiling, giggling and kicking my feet the whole time.

Synopsis:
What if he didn't have to quit you?

In the heart of Oklahoma’s sprawling Rainbow Ranch, Boone Adams thrives as the vibrant soul behind the kitchen, tirelessly whipping up meals that warm both body and spirit. As the younger twin to the brooding Beau, Boone embraces his role as the ultimate caretaker, pouring his heart into nourishing his family and friends. His sunny disposition and unwavering concern for his siblings mask a deeper longing for recognition and self-care.

Everything changes when Wylie Anderson arrives—a rugged cowboy battling his own demons and desperate for a fresh start. Drawn to the ranch to earn some quick cash, Wylie has no intentions of sticking around after the monthly rodeo. As their paths intertwine, Boone’s nurturing spirit clashes with Wylie’s hardened exterior, igniting a tension neither expected.

Will Boone’s unwavering kindness break through Wylie’s tough façade, revealing the warmth beneath? And can Wylie help Boone discover the importance of prioritizing his own happiness? In this tale of love, self-discovery, and the power of connection, two opposites just might find a way to complement each other and heal their own hearts.

Review
This was everything I wanted from an MM cowboy romance. Low angst, relatable side characters building family, and  queer community, yummy food, and lots of interaction with the horses!
For such a short story, there is a lot of character growth, especially from Wylie. The slow build between the two (but not too slow) is perfectly paced. I was hooked on their chemistry from the moment they met. And the payoff in spicy scenes was so worth it! 🔥
I love it when I can read a joy filled book in one day and savor that happiness long after. I can't wait for more stories from Rainbow Ranch. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
