I know, I know, I have to read this one again. But here's what I have to say:
This is the shortest, yet most confusing book I've read this year. However, I've recognized that the challenge of the book, with its constantly switching narrators, unusual style of dialogue, and dreamlike, unordered narrative, are what make the book a literary classic. Yes, this book will require stopping and thinking. But you'll find that the strange world of Pedro Paramo is compelling because of its complexities and the tragedies that the characters experience trying to save themselves from a death they've already faced.

A masterpiece of a novel. Not an easy read for sure, at times confusing and fragmented but a superb reading experience and easy to see why this novel is held in such great esteem.

Certainly a book I will enjoy experiencing the magic of again.

I think this is the kind of book you have to read more than once to realllly grasp. Interesting writing style, beautiful descriptions of visuals- people, scenery, etc. Themes of morality and faith
