Flop

Disappointed by the ridiculous final book in the trilogy. We waited a long time for this book and what a tremendous disappointment.

Loved this series!

A fitting ending to the trilogy. Some good horror scenes and solid bittersweet moments that suit the characters and show how much they’ve grown (or “evolved” might be more appropriate here) over the books. A tiny bit sappy, but I think I loved that part too?

woah. i literally loved this series, i also fell in love with the characters. i feel like i’m still missing pieces to the story but i feel like it wrapped up well anyways. my mind is all over the pace but it might be bc i read this series in 3 days. truly was a mind f!ck

Thank you Miss Hodkin, thank you.

I was shocked. Reading the last book of the Mara Dyer Trilogies was an experience all on its own. If you follow my reviews, I loved the other two books. Mara and Noah could be an undying Romeo and Juliet. Although scratch the family feud, and add in super powered teenagers who are discovering who they are and that they’ve been tortured in an attempt to purify (for lack of a better word) the human race. He was the hero, she was the death. Bound to love each other and kill each other over millions of lifetimes.
I was pulled in at every page because something different was happening every time I thought I had the storyline pegged, it changed. I love that in my books! I like to dream about books, talk about them, thrive on them and Michelle Hodkin, you make me want to read more. You inspire me to write more as well. I strive to be as great as your trilogy! Wow. Trust me and read this book! It rocked my world with a little bit of everything in it.

I was actually pleasantly surprised with this book in the end. Admittedly, it really dragged on and there were a few moments in the story where I was ready to briefly skim to the end and be done with it all. Not to mention the fact I kind of fell out of love with Mara. I'm glad I hung in there though, the ending wasn't 'happy' as such but potentially the best way to conclude such a trilogy. And I love, love, love how the last sentence is the first one (from the first book) - this just made it seem so much more conclusive and final. Like we've all done a full circle and it was a really satisfying feeling.
