I read this back in 2016 but I just want to share my unique reading experience for this book.
I was walking to my room and opened the first page and read the first couple lines, I stopped outside my bedroom door and kept reading. Before I knew it, I finished the book. I read this whole book in one standing, I don't even know how I did it but I was standing in one place for hours and didn't take my eyes of this book once. No toilet or snack breaks. It sucked me in so much that I didn't even realise I was standing for that long.
When I finished it, I kinda looked around and realised where I was and how dark it got around me, It was night time!

I read the first two books in one sitting so if that doesn't say how addicting these books are...

I liked this series there’s just a lot going on. I mean a lot. But I enjoyed it nonetheless and I think there are some moments that could be better but I liked it.

I was going to be nice since I didn't really hate anything in this book but then that sex scene was my final straw

The ability to heal does not make one good any more than the ability to kill makes one evil. Kill the right people, and you become a hero. Heal the wrong ones, and you become a villain. It is our choices that define us, not our abilities.

Disclaimer: I read this trilogy in a span of less than a week. I did not wait on pins and needles like many others have. Perhaps that is why my review will be different. I absolutely loved this "final" book of the trilogy. I devoured it in one day, totally ignoring the world around me. Until the final page, I had no idea how it would end! It was gripping; Mara's transformation was mesmerizing. Book 3 is definitely darker than its predecessors. I found myself not liking Mara at times and scared for her in others. In the end, she was exactly who she was supposed to be.

Spoiler Many people will be upset that Noah was not present for the the large majority of the book. Yes, I would have loved to seen him more, but this was Mara's journey. I could understand for her need to do this without relying solely on Noah. I loved the banter with Jamie and Daniel! It was nice to see they take a more prevalent role in this book. Usually, I loathe unfinished endings; I prefer everything to be neatly wrapped and complete. For some strange reason, this ending absolutely worked for me. I was happy to think Noah and Mara are content and hopelessly in love with the here and now.

I hope one day we will get another peek into this world! No doubt, this is one book people will be very opinionated about. That's the beauty of reading and feeling passion about characters.
