I loved where this series was going, but this one just left me wanting more. The battles were over so quickly, the wrap up of the love interest was not satisfying for me at all. I get that not every ending has to be a happily ever after, but I honestly wish I had been devastated instead. I wanted to like it, the other two books were great.

Definitely not the ending I was expecting. It was a good series. I'm definitely glad it's only 3 books.

It was a good, if a bit rushed, ending to this trilogy. I really appreciated the sacrifices the characters made and they felt appropriate and like an actual sacrifice. I really loved the grand finale. If you are looking for a series with fae and strong heroines, this is the one for you.

I’d been putting this off for awhile. No idea why but glad I’ve read it now. A good finale and Kik, the foul-mouthed Kelpie, was my favourite.

There were a few parts of the story that didn’t make sense or rather enigmatic at the time but everything makes sense by the end.

Didn't like this one as much as the first two. Would have loved to see more of Faolan, felt like he barely said a word throughout this whole book.
A lot of the concepts with the magic and magical items were also quite confusing and difficult to grasp for me.

All the feels

Good lord. I felt every emotion imaginable.
This Trilogy was utterly beautiful in every sense.
Now I just need to make it to 2023.

This book wrapped up the series quite well, and ended up being fairly poignant at the end. The authors took a different route then I expected with how the story ended, which I can definitely appreciate.

As a whole, the series felt a bit rushed. While the plot and character development were good, it felt like explanations and development in Alli and Lan's relationship were lacking at times, and the story jumped from one major event to the next without a lot of down time. However, I don't think I would want this storyline to have a higher page count either. It's possible the sometimes disjointed storytelling could be attributed to having two authors.

It's worth reading, but it won't knock your socks off. My favorite part of this book was the several thought-provoking quotes I found throughout the book. The thoughts on self-acceptance and how to balance hardness with mercy were wonderful.

This whole series has me conflicted. I love the idea of the characters, the plot line that was developed, the action and adventure, and the creativity within. But I felt like there was several aspects missing that really kept me from being totally engulfed in the story. Sometimes it was the dialogue, sometimes that lack of detail or unnecessary details, and others was just about the story itself. The way the characters talked really bothered me a certain points with all the “dumdum” and “ding dongs”. Again, it just felt forced imo.

The ending was so repetitive and I felt like there was no real danger from Ruby or anyone. Like the ending just seemed so obvious and the only danger really came from Alli herself. However, there were a few plot twists that I didn’t expect and I think those helped me stay engaged.

I also wish there was more Lan representation. I felt like he kind of just drifted and became a simp and didn’t do much besides follow Alli around. Also, what happened in his dreamland???? I need to know!!!

Overall, I liked this story and enjoyed reading it! I think with more development, it could have been great!

I read the entire trilogy. I enjoyed the first two books and pre-ordered the third. I was very excited about it. After reading it, however, I kind of hated it. I wanted to like it, but I found the storyline between Lan and Alli to be too fluffy this time. I wanted a little bit more grit and less "I'll sacrifice myself for the love of my life". I know the gene of young adult/ teen reads often has this type of storyline, but I was expecting something better.
