Book was meh. The choice was pretty obvious early on. The "drama" wasn't all that dramatic. It was fine.

this book just wasn’t for me… i wanted to like it but the prose was so wooden and stiff. i just couldn’t get invested in zora or either of the male leads.

The book itself wasn't bad. I just kept putting it down. I guess pacing was slow maybe idk, by the second half of the book I found myself skipping whole pages.

It was a cute story that felt too rushed. Very predictable “mystery”, and Zora handled it completely poorly. I’m also really over the “perfect girl” trope where she’s just naturally gorgeous and amazing at everything she does without any effort. Over works, is great in bed, but can’t find a man… we need more imperfect characters!!

oh i really did NOT like the trio situation going on here - i was hoping it would end much sooner. i also figured out the main plot point literally upon first mention, so it became a bit boring and repetitive after a bit.
however, i really enjoyed the community feeling of this book, and all the side characters' relationship with Zora were very lovely, warm and funny. also: so many discussions about books!!!
