Nick is a walking green flag. Just loved his patience.
Morgan Elizabeth set out to make a fluffy Hallmark holiday book with spice, and she nailed it. Reading this book felt like I was settling down to watch a cozy Christmas movie on the Hallmark channel, only R-rated and full of cuss words.
I deducted a star because at times, the way the dialogue was written, it was difficult to keep track of who was talking. There were a couple typos as this is self-published.

This book is a hot mess express featuring lots of Christmas festivities, a single mom and her two daughters, and a hot older cowboy!!! Whew buckle up for a wild, drama-filled ride.

The perfect setting to get you in the Christmas mood while falling in love with the most golden retriever book boyfriend of all time
genre: contemporary romance
pages: 294
writing: dual POV
rating: ★★★★★ [5/5]
spice: explicit
Nick truly wins the title of most considerate not-boyfriend of all time. The way he stepped up for Shae and her two girls without expecting anything in return was truly heartwarming and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing this strappy FMC peel back her layers and let this man int.
The story also featured a surprising amount of emotional depth, discussing topics of domestic abuse, parental neglect and emotional manipulation (all in the past).
Despite rarely picking up books which feature the single parent trope, this one was simply adorable and you can't help but fall in love with these girls and all they've been through.
Tropes:
-christmas tree farm
-cowboy x single mum
-golden retriever MMC
-stubborn independent FMC
-Elf on the Shelf magic
-rope play

Probably more like 2.5-2.75 stars. Not my favorite book, but it was cute. Idk if I’d recommend it to anyone unless they specifically asked for a holiday insta love. Idk if I liked any of the characters haha
