Why is Nick EVERYTHING?!?!

Love his heart, vulnerability, patience, and confidence! Goodness, he is something!

This story bounces back and forth between Nick, a christmas tree farm owner, and Shae, a single mom who is going through a divorce and has sole custody of her two girls. When Shae gets on a dating app and swipes right on Nick's son she quickly realizes they are only meant to be friends. But Nick's son know that Shae would be the perfect woman for his dad, another single parent. When they are introduced there are so many blunders and missteps, but when Nick puts his foot in his mouth and adds more to Shae already overflowing plate, he spends the holiday season helping give Shae and the girls a holiday season they will always remember!

This is a great, heartfelt read with lots of great back and forth!

Patience is a Virtue

It was a cute story of learning to trust after having your trust broken. However, I could’ve done less of Shae pushing Nick away saying that he could be there for her kids but not her, that she needed to do everything on her own, that she didn’t need help or support. The number of times Nick told Shae that he wasn’t going anywhere, that he was in it for the long haul, that he wanted to help and support her and her kids, I wanted to go into the book and tell him to walk away. I get that trust was broken by her ex, I get that he felt the instant connection to her and her kids. I have never been in the situation like hers, so I can’t say how I would react in the same situation, if her actions were all justified, but it drove me nuts all the way through, that she couldn’t trust him to be there after Christmas, in the next year, whatever time frame she put on everything. I enjoyed him trying to figure out the elf and how he knew it was up to him to do that for the kids, even though she told him that she would do it after he put the idea in the kids’ heads. I like how he always stepped up, no matter what issue Shae had and the excuse she threw at him (she doesn’t need his help).

Okay, fine. This was cute.

I have a hard time getting into contemporary romances but took the chance after wanting something a little bit Christmasy and a little my kiss-massy if you know what I mean.

Cowboys usually aren't my thing either…but, Nick was just so …NICK, ya know?

I appreciate the character dynamics of this story and enjoyed Shae's journey with motherhood and romantic healing.

There were a few this that put me off - some grammar / editing mistakes, Nick's repetitive use of a nickname for Shae that I really found annoying more than anything, and Shae's repetitive inner monologue that literally made no sense at times.

But otherwise, I really enjoyed this story. It really was Hallmark with spice.

I freaking love Morgan Elizabeth & I love this series. I was not expecting to like this one as much as book 1 & 2 but this story was so wholesome

Sweet. Like a spicy hallmark movie. Love no 3rd act breakup

Wow! I did not know what to expect with this book but it exceeded expectations! Shae is in the process of reinventing her life. She is coming out of an abusive marriage and all she wants to do is provide a safe and happy life for her girls. Through a dating app she meets Conner who quickly becomes a best friend. Her life take a dramatic shift when Conner asks her to join him and his dad for Thanksgiving. His dad Nick (is by far the best book boyfriend of all time) instantly falls for Shae. knowing what its like to be a single parent he starts doing little things to earn her trust.
Everyone needs a Nick in there life!

I loved this book! It's like a well done steamy hallmark Christmas movie chock full of all of my favorite tropes. Grade a mindless read.
