Hallmark meets spice

This was the sweetest single mom book I’ve read to date. Nick was so lovable and the Christmas vibes are there for sure

Honestly I love Morgan Elizabeth but this was a solid no from me. The FMC Shae was just so annoying. The daughters were sweet but the story just dragged on. Nick was so kind and she constantly questioned whether he liked her even when he made it VERY CLEAR he did. I just couldn’t do it anymore.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book but it was truly a great romance novel that I enjoyed from start to finish. I liked that the protagonists were in their mid-30s and early 40s, and that there was never a miscommunication between them that wasn’t resolved in the moment. The characters were super likeable and enthusiastic consent was a priority in the spicy scenes. The only thing I wasn’t 100% sold on was the “dirty talk”, which was a bit cringe a couple of times, but it didn’t detract too much from my enjoyment of the story as a whole. Wait, am I into cowboys now? 😉
