stfu i cried however they fact that i had to read the same fight of “you’re mine” “no i’m not” got a tiny bit old
what can I say about Morgan Elizabeth's hero's? They treat you the way you dream of being treated.
It's nice to see Sharon get her happy ending after meeting her in 'Tis the Season.
Nick's son and Sharon's relationship is adorable. There is a bit of insta love on Nick's part but the way he steps in and helps with Christmas for the girls and slowly earns Shaes trust is so sweet.
Also anytime I get a Damian and Abbie cameo I'm thrilled.
**Spoiler**
And can I just say that I appreciate that the ex husbands new fiancée came around and wasn't the bad guy at the end. I like Ms. Elizabeth's world where women support each other once they figure out who the assholes really are.

look, sometimes you just need a predictable fluffy slice of life hallmark christmas novel with a book boyfriend who is a walking green flag and whose entire personality revolves around taking care of the fmc and her adorable kids to the point of obsession.
(the lovebombing might be a yellow flag but i have daddy issues and he does it altruistically, so.)
the timeline was unrealistic but realism is sometimes overrated.

Picked this book for the title, finished it because it was sweet and heartwarming and absolutely charming.
Okay.
This was going to be 4 stars, but it got so sweet and gooey at the end, I had to bump it up! This may officially be a holiday favorite for me, but we'll see come next year!
Anyway, this was so cute and sweet and a lovely little Christmas romance.

overall this was cute, but nick really bulldozed some boundaries. he made me feel a little uncomfortable at times even though i was rooting for this new jersey tree ranch cowboy man despite not really grasping how that identity really made sense. it’s like the author wanted to try their hand at a cowboy character and just forced it through. there were several instances in the last half of the book where it seemed the chapter format slipped—a narrator wasn’t named at the top, and there were sporadic sentences that made it clear it had unintentionally slid back to shae’s POV in one of nick’s chapters, etc. this probably would have been better as a shorter novella with a solid edit.
absolutely love Morgan Elizabeth’s book and this one hit the spot… cozy, cute and ah just adorable
