One of the hardest books I’ve read in a while, yet I couldn’t walk away from it (literally, I sat on the couch for five hours today reading it). If you’re in a vulnerable headspace, I wouldn’t touch it as it deals heavily with depression and suicidal ideation. I absolutely despised the main character for the first few chapters before quickly starting to pity her and then like her. Very eye opening to how hard some people can find the very act of existing. And the male lead - this book will make you want to reach out to the “George” in your life, whether platonic or romantic, and squeeze them tight, knowing how lucky you are.

So mixed on my feelings for the main character which made it quite enjoyable tbh. Half of me thinks this wasn’t a good book but I literally could not put it down and I think overall, the mix of emotions is why I loved it

I really didn't like any of the characters, couldn't understand why Iris was so awful to everyone. Found it tough to persevere to the end
