Simon was just hilarious with his intense love of Oreos (which I absolutely relate to), theatre kid ways and classic one-lines. A last minute entry of “so at least one of my sisters are getting murdered” stole my heart, with a special shout out to ‘Monkey’s Asshole. Also, I just really really really love Blue.
I also cannot avoid mentioning Michael Crouch’s narration for the audiobook. The range!!! Becky Albertalli excels in sharing the story of a debatably cynical, awkward and hilarious character as him and his friends go through the many common and valid struggles of teenage life.
Moderate: Cursing, Toxic friendship, and Homophobia
Minor: Vomit
