This book is a fast and easy ready. I enjoyed it, but it was a bit too childish for me now.

I loved this book. It was a light hearted contemporary romance that involved the seriousness of bullying, sexuality, and the regular nonsense of high school drama. I feel like there was character development for two of the characters in this story: Simon and Martin. The other characters were just fluff for the story. Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the plot it made me laugh and cry. I would highly recommend for a easy summer read.

I loved this! it's cute, it's honest, it's something that i didn't see coming! i have so much to say but again i am so full with books (i read 3 books today) i am not sure if it's the perfect time to comment about this book! i read this book in one seating and totally fly through it! despite being cute and leaving a smile in face it's not cheesy! it's one of honest and realistic book about one's reality! and honestly not just it deals with the idea of gay people hiding their identity but about all of us hiding our true self! this book portrays true picture of how teen-agers act and behave!

I've read this book before, but apparently, it's been so long since my last re-read that I was mixing up the movie plot with the book plot.  I'll have to re-watch the movie, too, but from what I remember, I like the book better.  The movie raises the stakes somewhat, to make an adorable rom-com more awkward, tense, and cringy; and the book Simon is less of a jerk.

It's a very impactful story for me, personally, because I also grew up as a queer theater nerd in Georgia.  I didn't live in Atlanta, though, and I didn't come out in high school, but a lot of the characters felt very real to me, and very familiar.  I liked the plot device of falling in love over anonymous email, and even knowing the ending, it was still an enjoyable re-read.

This was such an adorable, fun, quick read. In parts it had me even giggling. Loved the characters and the story; it’s just that feel good story you didn’t know you needed to read until you finished (which is so cliche and cheesy but it fits).
