Very cute. My kid read it in a day. I read it in under an hour. Cliffhanger, of course. We have the next one on hold at the library.

Cute graphic novel. Kids will like it. Mine do, at least.

Clem thought the art was "weird," and requested that we get the next one.

This gets pretty scary for part of the book, and it leaves a lot of unanswered questions.
Need to have at least one more book in the series.

I like the artwork, though if I don't like the story of a graphic novel it's harder to overlook the coloring. The mostly purple/lavender with a bit of yellow and dark red thrown in did not appeal to me. Two kids go various places with Jellaby, presumably to lead him back home. There's a lonely and deranged monster to deal with, among other things. My 10 year old son didn't like it so much either. Meh.

For fans of Bone or Calvin & Hobbes. Adorable, good-hearted, with a hint of mystery and sadness.

This is an adorable kids' comic, and I love that this one is so obviously set in Toronto, city of my birth. When I lived in DC, people kept asking me how I knew, because it doesn't say "Toronto" anywhere, but that's a darn fool question. I've lived more than half my life on this planet in Toronto; it doesn't have to say "Toronto" for me to recognize it.
