This is probably premature, but I think We, the Drowned will be my favorite book of the year. The structure of interlocking stories and the use of the collective narrator were so fresh; the characters felt very much alive and I was invested in learning what happened to each of them. It was an uncomfortable book at times but overall a truly amazing read.
