I won a copy of this book from http://bermudaonion.net/ and am so grateful that I did! This was such a pleasant book to read. What I loved is that not only does Monroe introduce a set of dynamic and real characters, but that she also takes us through their back-stories, which made me eager to turn the pages to learn their future! This is a beautiful story!
Loved this! Looking forward to the rest of the series.
The beach has always represented comfort and good times so a book set around a beach stood a good chance of being a favorite. Add in characters that almost immediately become real, and a promise of staying with those characters for multiple books made it better. Oddly enough I was reading this at the start of hurricane season 2018 when the same area (North Carolina) was hit be hurricane Florence while a fictional hurricane Brendan wreaks havoc on the same area.
Love the setting and characters of this novel. It was a sweet redemption type story and I enjoyed the loggerhead facts spread throughout
my only problem is it was a little slow. With tighter writing the essence of story could be kept in shorter amount of pages.
Still worth the time investment.

I like her books..very nice and comforting. She is a really nice person, too! Got to meet her when she did a book signing at our store.
This book had a touch of everything! Island charm, wholesome romance, family drama, and finding faith all wrapped up in one. The beginning starts slow but things quickly pick up! This is a summer must read!
I loved this one, can't wait to read Swimming Lessons and Beach House Memories. I'm very glad to have discovered another wonderful South Carolina writer! :) I bought an autographed copy at Litchfield Books in Pawleys Island.
This was the perfect book to read on vacation! Set in the beautiful Lowcountry, The Beach House touches on some of my favourite things—family, the beach, and turtles! A fraught mother-daughter relationship is restored, and Loggerhead turtles bind generations together in a most magical way. Hurricanes, memories, romance, and communication meld into a lovely story of reconciliation and restoration. A wonderful read!
