Bash and Cambri??? Yeah they’re the ones for sure. Little Leigh was so cute, she reminded me of my niece. I don’t have a problem with instalove/attraction so the fact that cambri got caught up immediately and gave no resistance didn’t bother me at all. Bash would’ve had me folding, too (and folded for the matter). Her baby daddy Chevy was TRASH. What he did at the end??? Yeah he’s lucky he’s still breathing. I was disappointed by his sister’s reaction to that too because there was no way to justify what he did and yet that’s exactly what she called herself doing.

Also appreciated the lack of a third act break up. There were rocky moments, but they never quit. Can’t wait to read more about the side characters.

For an MC romance with some dark romance elements, this was actually pretty cute. Bash and Cambri definitely had the love at first sight energy going on but I liked that Cambri was smart and pragmatic about it and incredibly protective of her daughter, Leigh. The premise is that Cambri is recovering from a toxic relationship with her ex when he abandons paying child support after an argument and she decides to look after Leigh herself. Seeking a job as a dancer in the Wolf Warriors MC Club’s lounge business, she catches new member, Bash’s eye, and he instead sets her to bartending duty and from there vows to win her over.

This had a lot of violence in it, but at the same time it felt soft. I liked it, although there were some cultural elements (related to MC life AND the fact that this was a Black MC romance) that felt underdeveloped and a little generic. Nonetheless, I enjoyed reading this and thought it was a good intro to a new Black MC series that I’m excited about continuing. Overall, I liked it.
