The writing is really stunning, and I look forward to what the author writes next. I worked on the 2008 Obama campaign and there were some aspects of this novel that were wonderful and nostalgic. There were also parts that felt slow and that I just didn't connect with, which unfortunately keeps me from ranking it higher. But again, the writing is just stunning and I'm excited to see what Cunningham does next.
