If this is a retelling of the author's time in the Obama campaign, I am so sorry for him. I worked on a campaign when I was a young college graduate and it was an entirely different experience. My experience was fun, uplifting, and exciting. This book was just depressing.

I wanted to love this more than I did. The writing was elaborate and vague. Reliving the Obama campaign through another lens was so much fun but I wanted more details versus ambiguous retelling. I felt like the whole book I was looking back at his memories through an alcohol induced fuzzy view.
