I had been recommended this book so many times that I had high hopes for it, unfortunately I found myself disappointed and left wanting more. 

I recognise the idea behind this book and support removal of hurry wholeheartedly. I did struggle with the prose and found the arguments tenuous and often circular. Hurry is a plague and we should be working to remove it, but I feel that this book was missing the meat that I was assured it had.

Is it wrong that I listened to this book on double speed? This is a topic that is actually really hard to conceptualize in the world we live in today. However I really enjoyed this book. I think the author has incredible insights into how we can adjust our lives to look more like Jesus’ while living in the modern world. I appreciated all of the information he provided about the negative impacts of over consumption as well as the reminders of how blessed we are. I wish he had dove into his past a bit more to give us a more in depth glimpse of his journey to minimalism and slowing down his life.
