In this volume, the world grows larger with more active characters and POVs, with a revenge plan still planned and executed.
It gives more action, tension, more characters to root for (loved the duels), and creative plans to execute and bring war and destruction to the same evil family that acts like mighty ruthless dragons.
The main character's mother is more active as well and seems to be a great character hiding some secrets. Always on top of the situation, great humor. Seems that the main character doesn't know all the darkness still to unveil. In the first book, the goal was to survive a journey and return home safely so Ren could infiltrate herself into the evil family. In book 2, she makes allies who have the same goal, and they plan to march an army against the Brood family. I am looking forward to reading book three and the answers revealed by some plot twists in the epilogue.
