Rowenya Stone is a captain of the once fearsome pirate ship, the Trinity. Shackled by her father’s past into the service of the terrible Red Beard, she is forced to break the Pirates’ Code by hunting down her own kind as his personal bounty hunter along with her crew.
Seeking freedom from this life, she hatches a daring plan to steal an ancient artifact which is said to unlock the path to the greatest treasure known to mankind. The plan goes awry when she is intercepted but Grayson Tyde, the most ruthless and feared pirate lord in the Southern Realm.
Forced onto his ship upon discovery of her knowledge of the ancient language, she must contend with her growing and perilous attraction to this beautiful and dangerous man.
Will finding this immense treasure be worth risking her life and her heart?
Holy cow. Ever get to the end of a book and wish you’d waited until more of the series was out so you could just binge read it? Brianna has definitely made me feel like that. While I’m honoured to have been able to read this ARC copy I’m also incredibly annoyed that I’m going to have to wait to see what happens next.
I loved that Rowenya was a FMC that’s actually the same age as me rather than some 17 year old. I could also relate so hard to her desire to control everything around her as I definitely have that desire due to my own anxieties.
Grayson is such an incredibly sexy sounding MMC and I love the witty banter and teasing that was involved in their relationship. Such spicy scenes! I definitely felt a little hot under the collar!
This book was beautifully written and I loved the descriptions of various people, features, scenes, sequences. It felt like I was really there in this crossover between Pirates of the Caribbean, Pride and Prejudice and The Mummy. Absolutely can’t bloody wait for the sequel and will be watching obsessively for an announcement.

This was such a fun read! It was also my first pirate fantasy and it did not disappoint. I loved the banter and tension between the FMC and MMC and watching them grow. I was totally engulfed by the story and couldn't tear myself away. It was also a breath of fresh air that our fearless and strong Rowenya was 36 and not 18/19!!
The ending has me already begging for the next book in the series! I can't wait to continue on. This book was full of action packed adventure, slow burn romance and tension and I'm grateful to have been given an ARC so I can share this with others! It's available for pre-order in all formats and releases July 10th!

Received an ARC copy in exchange for honest review
This book was great! At first, I wasn't too sure about it as I haven't read many pirate stories and you're thrown right into the plot! As I continued though, I found myself more and more enthralled with the characters and their stories. The author gives enough detail to keep you going, but there are many mysteries surrounding the MMC and FMC that would keep me coming back for the rest of the series.
I wouldn't say the book is overly spicy with only a couple sex scenes, but there is solid tension and banter between the two main characters.
All in all, I would definitely keep reading this series and would recommend to my fellow reader.

*** I received a digital copy of this as an ARC directly from the author for my honest review ***
- Pirates - Rivals to lovers - Forced proximity - Epic treasure hunting - Morally grey MMC - Stabby FMC - Touch her & d*e - Slow burn - "I'll be your villain" - "She's mine" -
Brianna, ma'am, I am going to need the next book ASAP!
Let me start by saying, I really enjoyed this book. For this being your first fantasy, you did an amazing job! I have been in a fantasy slump, where none of the fantasy books I was reading were grabbing my attention the way I wanted them to, but I flew through Rowenya & Grayson's story and I want more.
I still have questions about the characters that I'd like to see answered, but im assuming those may be covered in a sequel(maybe? Hopefully? Please?) But I still got sucked into the settings and characters with their descriptions and sprinkles of backstories throughout.
And the way you left us with that ending! My gods, woman! I need more!

Rowenya Stone is a pirate bounty hunter. Grayson Tyde is a feared pirate lord. Rowenya & her crew make plans to steal the Serpent's Key, but when it goes terribly wrong, Rowenya end up on Grayson's ship.
This was such a riviting and immersive read. Remus sets the scenes in the novel so well. I felt like I was right there with the characters on the ship in the middle of all of the action.
Rowenya is a very multifaceted character. She has morals, but also has to compromise on those in order to survive. Grayson was exactly what I wanted him to be; he is dark with a secretive past, but still a fair captain. The chemistry and tension between the two is perfection. Remus pulls off a delicious slow burn.
If you enjoyed Pirates of the Carribean or the Mummy, you will enjoy this high seas adventure. I am eagerly awaiting the next book.

'A traitorous pirate lord. A bounty hunter with a score to settle. And an epic treasure that will grant them both the freedom they desire…unless they destroy each other first.'
I really enjoyed this book! It is the first pirate romantasy I have read, and the characters, the hint of magic and world building for this novel are fantastic.
Our FMC, Rowenya is fiesty and fierce, and I loved that she didn't back down from the challenges she faces, and nearly always has the last word! Grayson, our MMC, is dark and mysterious with questionable morals and an even more questionable past. The banter between the two of them is delicious, and the book has just the right amount of spice for me!
There are some genuinely moving and heartfelt moments, and I found myself re-reading certain parts because they really resonated with me. This is a very slow burn, well written with wonderful characters and an intriguing world that I can't wait to see more of.
Did I mention that our FMC is mid 30's? As an middle aged reader this made me ridiculously happy!
You will love this book if you like forced proximity, slow burn, rivals to lovers, pirates and treasure hunting!

Thank you to the author for letting me read this book before publishing date.
This adventurous pirate romantasy follows Rowenya, a bounty hunting pirate captain as she finds herself captive an another pirate ship and finds a different kind of adventure than what she had originally planned.
A book written in crack format I read it very fast and did enjoy it. I do think you need to be in the right mood for it because the book follows tropes more than it follows the plot.
Also a few mistakes in the ebook version. A sentence crossed out instead of deleted. Also wondering if they meant to say the “hull” of the ship instead of “haul?” Maybe that’s just me not understanding nautical terms😂 felt like it could have gone through one more round of edits. Usually I can report errors through my ebook but was not able to on this version.
It ends on a cliffhanger right in the middle of an action scene which I wish it could have wrapped up a little more. I also wish we were brought back to Rowenya’s crew at some point. Did not get enough backstory for any of the characters. Rowenya’s scars, her mother, Grayson’s identity. Too many threads left in the wind.
Writing and prose was well done and very descriptive for a typical romantasy. World building was ok. Hoping we get to see more character and world building throughout the rest of the series. Definitely very Pirates of the Caribbean. If you liked the Ever King and Ever Queen, you will enjoy this book.
