I think it's a bit outdated and written in a way that's trying to convince a more traditional/older UX design crowd into adopting 2010's web design.

The first 7 chapters were nice in outlining basic tenets, but I find free Youtube courses much more helpful. (Search Flux on Youtube for his web design course!)

Highly scannable, just like a good website.

Excellent and overview of some good website design principles. While I though Steve did a great job of outlining the basics, I personally found it to be a tad over simplistic. It would, however, be a great first introduction for anyone on their first foray in web design.

Smart, funny, and entertaining. A great book to read for any armature or professional web designer.

Got a few chapters in and enjoyed it, but it was due back to the library and I just haven’t gone back. Maybe I still will?

A good book that goes over usability and design. Its really really entertainingly. It's well designed and deserves its spot as the most easy book to read about UX design.

Classic for websites (and probably mobile sites/mobile apps). But I would be happy to find something about web apps as well.

Amazing. Clear principles laid out. A good guide to observing and analyzing user behavior and how to communicate between interface and user. This is a must-read for new or seasoned UI/UX designers.
