I liked this one but I didn't love it as much as I did some of the other SEP books I've read. The start of the story and Jane's plan I found hard to buy as someone so smart and well educated but if you overlook that and a few other things the story is still funny and by the end the love story was sweet and it was understandable how they'd gotten there.
I liked the secondary characters a lot. especially Annie. She was always smart witted and hilarious.

OK... Wasn't expecting this!!!!!!!!!!!! Drama.... come oooooooooooon... When i pick up SEP i expect fun, romance and laugh out loud funny.. not cribbing, sentiment and stupidity which was all present in this book. So its one star from me. Am thinking if i should be reading anything else because i could not find another book which is as good as "match me if you can". but for some one who wrote such a good book this is like a disaster. So you rather dint read this.

There’s just something about the hardware store scene that makes this book a 5 star

Not your typical sports romance. Once again, SEP hits it out of the park.

I was really disappointed with this book after reading Match Me If You Can. **spoilers** first, Im sad to say SEP is using an obvious formula, which is such cop out since she can write so well. Second, those early scenes between Jane and Cal were creepy. Jane was creepy in her frigid, weird "can't enjoy it" approach to sex with Cal. I just didn't buy into the relationship between the 2 of them and his letting go of his anger so easily. thirdly, I didn't think the big slowly evolving reveal of seeing her naked really worked. it was just awkward. lastly, we were supposed to applaud his wanting to become a dr, but it was absurd to think at 36 he could suddenly go back to school for 8-10 years with a new baby and a new relationship.

Wildly, wildly implausiable, but hey, isn't that what this genre is for? And though he won't admit it, I've caught Jason glancing at a few pages of this when I left it laying around. He thought it was completely about football and got sucked in, lol.
