Absolutely gorgeous illustrations, and I loved the character design and the overall aesthetic. But I’m not sure how I felt about the plot? Also there was random nudity which I wasn’t ok with :(

ooh, this book's quite sth. always never has a unique structure - esp the last (or rather first) chapter - that makes it the most intriguing comics/graphic novel ive ever read, one that simultaneously answers and raises questions abt the plot and characters, while the flipped structure and its ability are fascinating from a technical perspective.

this is a simple story thats been done many times over, but rarely have they been elevated by the great execution as is present here. the characters are charming and the main ones are imbued w/ nuance - just the epitome of small town charm - and they explore the themes of love, connection and orbital differences thru dialogue and plot in a witty way.

in terms of the art, the lineart and coloring styles are very pleasant and fit perfectly w/ the story and its setting(s), quaint small town and wide-ranging adventures all exquisitely rendered; it's just what one would expect from a comic abt a european town ig.

the focus on ana + zeno and themes of love can be too narrow and intense for me at times, and one thing that pricks @ me thruout the whole read was how light zeno is, w/ nothing much to lose compared to ana. but all in all, this is an undeniably charming read abt love w/ great art and a noteworthy structure.
