The second in book in The Immortal Series, is truly as page turning as the first book. You can feel everything is fine and then the snap, when something feels off. Ever and Damien are suddenly torn apart when a new kid shows up at school. Rowan is evil and Ever can smell it streaming off of him. Everyone else fell into his plan and she just needed proof.
Then Damien started getting sick. And he never gets sick. So Ever’s thrown off, desperate to cure him. Before Rowan can finish the job. She thought the best way to fix Damien is to get to the past and make sure that he can’t save her. She wants to change her destiny to save him. She can’t though, and it takes the vision of her dead little sister to tell her that. Her mistake might cost her everything!
I was captivated from book 1 and Blue Moon hasn’t let me down! How I haven’t heard of these books sooner, I’m not sure but I feel like I’m totally addicted. I can’t wait to get to the library to get the next book and let you know how flipping amazing it is! And if you haven’t read this series, it’s really something to get into.

i gave it an honest attempt but after about 70 or so pages, i just couldn't stand it. all ever wanted to do was have sex with damen and it pretty much ruined the book for me. plus it was too much like twilight and really wish the author came up with a different plot line.

This book had me feeling a lot of emotions! I was in turmoil for most of it. Im not sure thats a good thing, but it happened.

We start off finally free of the cycle that Damon has been locked into for centuries. Our two little love birds are in school during the day, and spending time together afterword. Things are progressing in the physical relationship aspect, though Ever keeps holding back each time they get close to that milestone(yes, this is bothering me that even though she has been 'looped' a bunch of times, she is forever only 16, and Damon is thousands of years old, and has lived a life. Normally i can forget this, but here, it's feeling off.) She continues to try to learn her powers and abilities, though she isn't very good at it, she drinks the red juice(this feels off too? Why is it red? Why not green, purple, brown, orange? Anyone ever heard of a non clear container? Also, it's explained that Damon gets addicted to it, and eventually switched over to full time consumption, but my question becomes 'why have Ever drink it exclusively now then? Seems like a fast tract to problems, if you ask me, but i digress...) she keeps having growth spurts.

So, things are looking good for the happy couple.

And then, a new guy shows up at school with a British accent, a charming smile, and alarm bells start ringing for our girl Ever. Although everyone is falling under his spell. And i mean everyone. Suddenly, everyone , even her two best friends-who by the way, are pretty bad to begin with, turn on her, her guardian is watching her like a hawk, asking annoying things, like 'bring your boyfriend to dinner!' And 'eat some food.' Her teachers are riding her about attendance, and the whole school is leaving behind social cliques and getting along. Even precious Damon is starting to act a little strange, and even though Ever is getting some major creep-tastic vibes off of Roman (Brit-boy) since she can read minds, and Damon doesn't seem to have any doubts about the guy, she doesn't voice these concerns to Damon, and just moves forward. Ignoring her instincts.

So when she and D finally book a hotel, and plan to spend some quality time together(the guy lives in a mansion, alone, so why the hotel???) things take a turn when Damon takes off suddenly, leaving Ever alone at an event, and all her friends ditch her too. So her options are only creepy Roman, or a long walk home, shoe-less. ??? So she imagines up a car, and goes hunting for her missing BF who is proving impossible to find. Things go downhill from here.

He shows up at school the next day, accusing her of being a stalker, and acting like she doesn't exist, flirting with her enemy. Spreading this rumor about her, and even the teachers believe it, and start confronting her about it. It really is her against the world!

So, Ever eventually teams up with the Psychic lady she doesn't like, to get to the secret dimension where only immortals go, and hunt for some answers. There she meets some creepy twins, learns a couple things, and generally attacks her life by her lonesome, ignoring her instincts, trusting the wrong people and generally doing the most wrong things possible.

Eventually a big standoff takes place, a major twist happens, and life as she knows it explodes in her face, and I'm guessing since this is a multi book series, I'm in for a ton of hurt as the story continues in the most contrived and irritating way it possibly can!

Will i keep reading, yes. The books are short. The emotions are charged. The cliffhanger is intense.

Is the series good so far..? Well, not really. Its very of its time. The girls are all catty. The boy is super old. The 'friends' are terrible, and she in turn is also a terrible friend. Is it entertaining though? I guess. It's kind of unique. It has me hooked. At least for now. No telling how bad it gets as it goes though.

Im trying to keep this spoiler-free, but i really need to vent about this book! What was that ending???? Why would she decide to trust this person!???? Why is she still? She could have done a little investigating? Hello, mind reading? She. Them? How about insider information? How about waiting!!! What about, oh i don't know...not being the MOST IDIOTIC IDIOT OF ALL TIME FOREVER! *bangs head against wall. Whyyyy!!!!!!

Thoughts: Great book, will continue!

In this book Ever has a huge choice to make, one that could change her life completely. She can bring her family back or save Damon, how can a girl make a choice like that. It's agonising to read, wondering what decisions Ever will have to make. As the story unfolds you see Ever's life completely fall apart with no one to trust or turn to.

This story is a careful blend of our world and the Immortal world and Alyson Noel weaves both places into the book creating a harmony within the readers mind. I have read books like this that are not so well balanced and you want the story to hurry up and move along. But I found with this one that I enjoyed the experience of Ever discovering the Immortal world and am looking forward to reading more in the next book.

One of the reasons this book is even better than the first is because it has a lot of suspense and your mind is constantly racing ahead trying to figure out what will happen. This is a YA novel with a fair amount of the setting in a high school with all the usual teenage dramas going on, so if you enjoy that type of setting you'll love this . This book is also one that would be loved by teens who like fantasy and romance. My only complaint was that I didn't like the ending but it definitely set up the next book so I really shouldn't complain. It's called anticipation! However, don't let that stop you from reading it, the next one is out soon.

I'm surprised I finished this book. I was so disappointed. Not sure I'll be moving on to the third book. :-(

Well, this is disappointing, so far. Damen is still a huge ass (600+ years old and he can't have a little patience with a 16-year-old? He can't be a little more sensitive and a little less horny? He can't stop being a brooding, mysterious, non-past-revealing teenager after six hundred years? Really?) and now Ever has become clingy while being obsessed over not having sex though she thinks she wants to but she's not ready but she should be because she has always died a virgin so she needs to hurry up and get it on but she has all of eternity so what's the rush but he really wants to because he's never been able to have sex with her and she should really just give him that and I AM GOING TO SLAP HER. I'm hoping things pick up and they stop being so incredibly irritating because, if that doesn't happen, I won't make it through the second CD.

I listened to the whole thing and I will not be continuing this series. I'm still going to give Riley's story a try, but Ever and her I-really-need-to-have-sex-though-I-just-never-manage-it-and-OH-NO!-NOW-I-CAN'T!-oh-and-I-have-forgotten-how-to-use-reason drama can just go on without me.

I can assure you I won't be carrying on with this series.

I'm starting to wonder if I ever enjoy the second book in a series as much as the first. Although, this series hasn't super stuck with me either way but Blue Moon drove me a little crazy. I really dislike the device of adding seemingly random to delay big decision - and this book that was the whole focus.

But, I enjoyed the mystical, moon and magical elements to the book. I only remember some overtones of this in #1, more thematically there but very specific here. I liked that.

And I'm curious enough to keep reading... we'll see how that goes! It was a fast read.
