I had big hopes for this book because I loved Roch! He's this quiet guy with many dogs, and I loved how protective he was of Birdie. I was expecting this love story to transform him a little bit, but instead, he never really changes. I do love that Truly does all of the talking. I love how she explains her feelings for him. This is an age-gap romance, and Roch serves Truly's father. So we get to learn more about Roch's past whenever we are in his point of view. But Truly was a brat. I had a lot of love/hate moments with her, and I think it was just because she was so young and struggled with just talking to him. A lot of the things that happened in this book could've been avoided if she just spoke to Roch. But I love that we got to see a lot of the club in this one and still see what everyone else is up to.
