Ce qui est bien avec ces livres, c'est qu'ils se lisent à une vitesse folle, tant l'écriture est simple !! Mais par contre, j'ai moyennement apprécié certains passages du livre.. Donc, on verra pour la suite !

L.J. Smith has been writing books for Young Adults since the 1980s. She started writing the The Vampire Diaries in 1991.Due to various personal reasons, L.J. Smith disappeared from the writing world back in 1998, leaving the last book in the Night World series, Strange Fate, unfinished. Happily, she returned at the beginning of 2008 with a new website, some short stories, and Strange Fate in the works, along with a new Vampire Diaries trilogy.
Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec picked up the rights to turn the Vampire Diaries into a television show. The show is loosely based on the books.

Stefan's diaries the ripper takes up 20 years after the last book. Stefan went to England to escape his brother Damon after the situation in New York. He has been building up an okay life on a farm helping out when he hears about Jack the Ripper being active in London. Convinced it is Damon murdering innocent people he feels that it is his responsibility to save London from this monster.

The book is a short entertaining story. It gives you the feeling you learn something about the background of both Salvatore brothers though it has more connection with the television series than the original book series.

The best so far!

Parts were predictable and I'm still not sold on Klaus being in this series overall. I liked the action and the characters. Wish there were books from Damon's perspective.

I know these are Stefan's diaries and all but he really got on my nerves, especially with the constant Damon blaming. Get over yourself, Stefan.

The title cheats! Cheats, I tell you! I thought it would be about stefan's days as the Ripper of Monterey, but it was actually about Jack the Ripper.
Additionally, there are a lot of extra characters that are sometimes hard to tell apart.

Pesonally, I thought this book was gonna be about Stefan's dark days as "The Ripper" when he became friends with Klaus and Rebekah and all that. I was a bit disappointed in that matter, seeing as the ripper from this book is actually another vampire... I would have given it 4 stars if not for that. I absolutely love Violet!!! I think she's my favorite character from this book. She so sweet and innocent and a very good friend and sister. I kinda reminds me of my relationship with my sister. Though I didn't want her to die, I didn't want her to become a vampire either... Too bad she did, though. I really hope nothing extremely bad happens to her because she is a very good person...
