Perfect if you want a light, funny, modern getaway of a read about grief, love, and family. Not literary, but that was never its intention, and you get hilarious gardening tips too!

A surprisingly light read about a heavy topic.

So often I enjoy books that involve cooking or baking; the gardening of fruits and vegetables felt like a fun extension of that. A light-hearted read about finding your way back from tragedy.

I loved the quirky characters so much that I was sad the book ended!  I love the way Abbi Waxman writes people and dialogue and inner monologue.  Her portrayal of children is especially fun!

Somehow, this book about a widow, who had a mental breakdown, manages to be a fluffy chick lit book. Not sure how the author pulled it off, but she did. It's a good beach story without being about a beach.
