With excellent art and classic spy movie vibes, this story is a great one-shot story for anyone who likes the Winter Soldier!

3.5 or so. I kind of like this storytelling. Not so crazy about the art, though.

I really enjoyed reading this comic and the Bucky feels hit HARD! The ending was very sad and feels like the beginning of something more to come. Recommend if you are a Marvel comic and Bucky Barnes fan!

Wow. This is by far my favorite Winter Soldier book yet. This storyline is clean-cut and simple, packed with action from start to finish. The emotional impact of what the Winter Soldier — what Bucky Barnes — goes through in this short mission is hard-hitting and awful. I had real hope in the middle of this book, but by the end I remembered how many years of brainwashing and torture he was forced to endure. I'm so sad.

Honestly, I'm pretty surprised how much I enjoyed this comic.
Bucky is one of my favourite characters in the MCU, but this is my first time seeing him in comic form. Turns out, this doesn't really focus on him at all. He's there, and he's an integeral part of the plot, but he isn't leading the plot. I was a bit annoyed, but in the end, I think this turned out for the best.
I enjoyed the story arc overall, and the individual character arcs. Bucky's was tragic and heroic and everything I wanted - besides the limited time spent with him.
A highlight was the villain, who I won't spoil, as I think discovering him and what he can do as the story unfolds makes for a more suspenseful read. This villain was just so creepy, I loved it.
The lead character was rather dull, but his arc and where the story brought him was fascinating, definitely left me wanting more.

Overall, had a great time reading this, from start to finish. Highly recommend to any Winter Soldier fan!

I really liked this comic but with the stakes so high, there was only one way it could conceivably end and so there wasn't a huge amount of tension. But overall, still a really enjoyable comic with lots of action.

This is one of my personal faves, so I'm absolutely biased. The plot development is somewhat lacking, but the writing is superb, and the art—while not to everyone's taste—is excellent.
