This is the second book I’ve read by Beth O’Leary and  WOW WOW WOW!

What a clever clever story!! It’s funny because as I was listening to this, even though we were being pulled along the story in a certain way, I never quite hated Joseph. I always felt there was a kindness and sincerity about him (possibly due to the talented actors who read this audiobook) and with that niggling feeling, I couldn’t quite understand why such a seemingly nice guy would cheat on 3 women at the same time! Were we being duped along with these ladies or was there more to it? What was his reasoning? Was he trying to decide who to choose or was he just a complete arsehole? I just HAD to find out. The intrigue had me hooked!

WELL….just as you think it’s going to hit the fan, this story transforms and suddenly things make perfect sense! It’s so difficult not to give things away so if any friends see this review, PLEASE READ THIS SO WE CAN TALK ABOUT IT HAHA!

I really loved this book and it’s probably one of my favourite’s now.

Mehhhh. Just, meh. I found myself skimming this one quite early as it trudged along to the big finale twist. Honestly, none of the characters grabbed me — except maybe Miranda and her flirtation with AJ — and I really didn't care about what happened to them, Joseph Carter–related or not. O'Leary certainly went for an interesting experiment with this one, but for me, at least, it simply didn't land.
