Method: audiobook

Rating: 3/5 stars

H rating: 4/5 - Carter. Idk..I did like you and I respected how you were hesitant to start a relationship after your ex, that was a hard blow..but there was just something I wasn't a fan of I guess.

h rating: 3/5 - Kendall. I wasn't a huge fan of yours, I did think your reasons were selfish, yes you didn't at the end, but your huge fault to me was that you left without getting all the information.

Drama: 4/5 - The baby and the money.

Thoughts: Ehh I did like it, but not a favorite. I was not expecting the baby part, so that was a good plot twist.

DID NOT FINISH

D.N.F.

I tried, I really did. For two weeks I have tried to get past the stilted dialogue and H's weird issue with every other word out of h's mouth triggering his hard-on.

I finally made it to the first full sex scene and it just wasn't worth the torture. 60% in and I'm done.

So. Freaking. Cute.

Playboy Pilot was an entertaining and steamy read. There were plenty of laughs (ahem, stolen pilot uniforms) and fantastic chemistry between Carter and Kendall, but I had a hard time really connecting to them. Granted, I'm not an overall fan of the manwhore reformed trope and Carter certainly lived up to the title, but I actually grew to like him much more than Kendall. I definitely enjoyed his sweeter side, but his arrogance and cocky attitude were just as hot. Kendall on the other hand just really confused me. I understand that she was at a crossroads in her life, but she just struck me as really immature and way too trusting. I'm all for living in the moment, but come on! I think the practical side of me couldn't get past that, even though the overall story was enjoyable.

The drama and angst was predictable, but it still hurt my heart. I just wish that these two would have communicated with each other, instead of thinking the worst and making huge decisions based off these assumptions. I do recognize though that this gave both our characters time to re-evaluate their lives and feelings and to be honest with themselves. Overall, this was a fun and steamy read, but just wasn't one of my favorites by this amazing writing duo.

I enjoyed this book but it felt that it was a bit too unrealistic for me. Maybe there is really a woman out there who'd go to different countries with a complete stranger just because he is a pilot and then after a few days tell him that you are an heir... but still, it was kind of illogical.

I like the side story of Trip, though, about Lucy. And that woman who tells fortunes. I liked what she had to do with the MCs when they asked her about what they need to do.

I like Trip also, however, there's this part about the unwanted pregnancy when he suddenly became an asshole. I mean, sure, he can doubt if he's the father or not but I didn't like how he took it and how he treated the other girl. I also didn't like it when he asked the girl MC "Have you fucked that pilot?"

Then the girl MC again did a stupid decision when she knew that Trip might have gotten somebody pregnant.

This might be my least favorite book written by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland.

LOVE THIS BOOK!

Carter and Kendal are awesome!!
Great ride love love love this book.

3.5 stars. Insta-love

This was a very strange book and completely unlike any other Vi Keeland book I've ever read before (well except the structure). I had been putting this one off for a while now because I don't typically like flight attendant/ pilot books but this one really surprised me. Most of this book I spent confused about what was happening, not in a literally sense but figuratively. This book had one of my least favorite troupes in it, love at first sight (or bang), but Keeland and Ward managed to really pull it off. By the end of the book I had absolutely fallen in love with Carter even though he used to be a hoe.

I have yet to find a Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward book that I wouldn't recommend. That being said I probably won't re-read this book, I just don't think I'd find it as whimsical as I did the first time.
