This book was very very sweet and exactly what I needed. I would say I wish it had been a bit more split up in perspective. It seemed go switch part way through a chapter which got a bit confusing when meeting Elle's family.

I thought the characters were great and the author really made me feel for them which is something i absolutely need in a book.

I do think it could have done without the third act breakup. I know it's pretty staple in romance and it did work well with the characters but I also felt it could have worked just as well without it. It just didn't do much for me

This is an adorable sapphic romance featuring two characters who I would love to be best friends with! I love all the astrology elements of the story, the side characters and the chemistry between Darcy and Elle.

I found this book cute but cliche. Of course I knew that it was just a sapphic holiday romcom going into it and it delivered on that front. I just felt that very little of it was original and the plot felt overused. I also didn't particularly like the writing style, switching between Elle and Darcy's POVs without any rhyme or reason with no indication other then context clues. I thought the romance was cute and I like each characters little charms and quirks. It felt very millennial with the jokes about Harry Potter and the way the texts were written. I don't particularly like a lot of pop culture references so a lot of the jokes fell flat. Overall a fun light read if that's what you're looking for.

Note: Why do so many sapphic books directly identify characters as bi, pan, etc. but never lesbian?? As a lesbian this is very disheartening.

4.5 ⭐s. Buddy read with Jordan, Victoria, and Christina. I won't write too much here since I oopsed and binged this basically in one sitting over the weekend, but needless to say I loved it! 😍 So gay, much swoon.

This was a fun, playful, hot romance that was tropey as heck in the best possible way.

My main qualm is with the characterization of mothers in this book. Naively hoped that in wlw books we’d see women get more justice in storytelling than seeing tired narratives about judge mental mothers and sisters being repeated.

The main thing I liked about this book was, thankfully, Darcy and Elle’s relationship. They were just so soft for each other, and you could tell they were genuinely connected. It gave me butterflies, and I particularly liked Darcy’s POV in the beginning. However, apart from this I just felt like I was missing something. The story needed more atmosphere and generally more scene description, as I definitely felt that it suffered from white-room. Like, it was set in the holiday season, yet it didn’t feel Christmassy or wintery at all. I also think the story was a little boring at times and could have used more plot or involvement of side characters. All in all, I really wanted to love this but it fell a little flat for me.
